Driven by the understanding that effective one-on-one meetings are crucial for team performance and individual growth, I designed a solution aimed at transforming these interactions from routine check-ins into truly meaningful conversations. My goal was to empower managers with a tool that streamlines preparation, facilitates productive discussions, captures valuable insights, and ultimately helps them foster stronger, more aligned teams.

The application I envisioned and designed supports several key tasks for both managers and employees, creating a more structured and impactful 1:1 experience. Before a meeting, both parties can easily add specific 'talking points,' ensuring that critical topics are addressed proactively. During the discussion, the app provides a dedicated space to view and record feedback directly against these talking points, fostering clear communication and shared understanding. Furthermore, the tool helps both managers and employees keep a comprehensive track of past 1:1s, allowing them to review progress and assess alignment on various key topics over time. This longitudinal view enables more informed and strategic follow-up actions.

The potential impact of this solution was significant enough that the idea was selected for presentation at the finals of the Intrapreneurship event 2017, held at SAP.io in San Francisco, where I had the opportunity to share this vision directly with SAP board members. This experience underscored the importance of designing tools that not only improve workflows but also have a tangible positive effect on employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
